Wei Wai Kum First Nation is a Ligʷiłdaxʷ Nation located in Campbell River, BC. We are a self-determining Nation guided by our laws, culture, and responsibilities to our people, lands, and future generations. Our government delivers programs and services that support community well-being, protect our territory, and advance our vision of a healthy, vibrant Nation grounded in our values.
Our work is guided by maya’xala, respect for all things, and noqigila, wisdom and knowledge. Through strong governance, careful planning, and community engagement, we are building a future that reflects who we are and where we are going.

Who Is Wei Wai Kum
Wei Wai Kum First Nation is one of the Ligʷiłdaxʷ Nations, with deep connections to our territory, language, and history. Our people have lived on and cared for these lands and waters since time immemorial. Today, Wei Wai Kum continues to strengthen our governance, culture, and economy while honouring our responsibilities to the land and to one another.
Our Nation is committed to healing, self-determination, and building systems that support our members throughout their lives. We strive to make decisions that reflect our values and ensure opportunities and prosperity for future generations.
The role of the Wei Wai Kum First Nation Council is to serve the community through strong, transparent and accountable leadership. Council is made up of eight members: the Chief and seven Councilors.
Stay informed and connected with important announcements, upcoming event schedules, and community stories. This central hub keeps the community informed on governance, events, and current stories, ensuring every member remains connected to the Nation.
